Laura Serna

Laura Serna is a first-generation immigrant from Colombia with a degree in Business Administration (Business Economics) from CSU Fullerton. She has a strong background in education, interpretation, and community support, with a focus on empowering underrepresented groups.

Her experience includes working as a Substitute Teacher, where she supported non-English-speaking students by providing academic guidance and interpretation. She also served as an Interpreter and Translator, assisting undocumented migrant communities in California and New York in shelters and social service settings.

Beyond her direct service work, Laura has been involved in Success Academy and Co-op Careers, programs dedicated to supporting underrepresented students. Through these initiatives, she gained valuable skills in career preparation and data analysis, further strengthening her ability to create pathways for opportunity and growth.
